PLEIN AIR PAINTING

Aug 30, 6pm - 8pm
Open to artists of all skill levels. Weather permitting, experienced painters are encouraged to bring their own supplies, chair, and easel. Everyone is welcome to participate. A limited number of easels and art supplies will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Free event open to the public.

Sept. 13: The Greg Loughman Trio​

Pianist Kenny Werner, bassist Greg Loughman, and drummer Mark Walker. Their performance will feature original compositions by Kenny Werner and Greg Loughman alongside inventive, fresh arrangements of jazz standards, blending lyrical expression with adventurous improvisation. This concert is presented by Mandorla Music in collaboration with New England Jazz Connections, and with generous support from the Quincy Arts Council.

This concert is the first in a series of concerts that NEJC will be presenting this fall at QArts Gallery. Follow New England Jazz Connections to stay in the loop about that!

 

Tickets $15 in advance, $20 at the door. $10 for students. $5 for EBT/WIC cardholders. Free for kids under 18.

The QArts Gallery is managed and operated by member volunteers. Hours vary weekly based on volunteer availability.

Parking

  • Metered parking on the street

  • Paid parking in the President’s Parking Lot located on Saville Ave. From either direction, look for the National Park Visitors Center on the corner of Hancock St. & Saville Ave. to park. The QArts Gallery is directly across the street from the National Park Visitors Center and Quincy College.

  • Weekends: Free parking behind the QArts Gallery in the MBTA lot. From either direction look for Starbuck’s on the end of our block on Hancock St. At that traffic light turn into the MBTA entrance and parking lot. You will need to walk a short distance around to the gallery’s front entrance on Hancock Street.
