These 3-hour workshops start with a review of some basic skills of painting with a Sumi-e brush, ink, water and watercolors on rice paper. If you have taken the last workshop with Tsun Ming, we will go right into building our skills of how to paint birds, insects and small animals.

About the event
Learn how to work with a Sumi-e brush, practice this technique with water and ink and watercolors on rice papers. This workshop will offer you an opportunity to create original paintings with this ancient art and philosophy of simple and subtle ways of painting. Materials provided.
Students will also bring home original hand painted cards.
