Service Description

Come try your own style of painting! This is an introduction to the properties of oil paints. Use of brushes, liquid mediums, painting surfaces, and other tools will be discussed. Explore the ways to execute your personal style and approach within the 2-dimensional surface. Supplies not included in class fee.

​Parking

  • Metered parking on the street

  • Paid parking in the President’s Parking Lot located on Seville Ave. From either direction, look for the National Park Visitors Center on the corner of Hancock St. & Seville Ave. to park. The QArts Gallery is directly across the street from the National Park Visitors Center and Quincy College.

  • Weekends: Free parking behind the QArts Gallery in the MBTA lot. From either direction look for Starbuck’s on the end of our block on Hancock St. At that traffic light turn into the MBTA entrance and parking lot. You will need to walk a short distance around to the gallery’s front entrance on Hancock Street.
