Service Description

In these classes you will learn techniques ranging from wet, semi-wet, and dry paint to achieve different textures and expressions. Also, every class has different topics: for example, painting skies, clouds, trees, stones, shadows, fog, reflections, transparencies, and a variety of textures. Also, you will learn how to do sketches using watercolor pencils. You will find this a relaxing, enjoyable, and exciting class in the processes of creating art with watercolor techniques where the simple medium of water with pigments will determine the final composition of each painting with total freedom. Basic Materials included (paint, paper, brushes)

​Parking

  • Metered parking on the street

  • Paid parking in the President’s Parking Lot located on Seville Ave. From either direction, look for the National Park Visitors Center on the corner of Hancock St. & Seville Ave. to park. The QArts Gallery is directly across the street from the National Park Visitors Center and Quincy College.

  • Weekends: Free parking behind the QArts Gallery in the MBTA lot. From either direction look for Starbuck’s on the end of our block on Hancock St. At that traffic light turn into the MBTA entrance and parking lot. You will need to walk a short distance around to the gallery’s front entrance on Hancock Street.
